ObaPrep is built to need as little of your data as possible. There are no accounts: we never ask for your name, email, or password.
Your study data — which words you've seen, your review history and schedule, your test date, your daily pace, and your settings — is stored locally on your device and is not uploaded to any server we operate. Deleting the app deletes this data.
We use PostHog to understand how the app is used (for example: a session was completed, the paywall was viewed, a setting changed). These events are tied to a random anonymous identifier, not to your identity. We don't collect your name, email, contacts, or location, and we don't sell or share this data for advertising.
Subscriptions are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to validate subscription status; RevenueCat receives your purchase receipt and a random anonymous identifier — not your name or Apple ID. See RevenueCat's privacy policy at revenuecat.com/privacy.
If you turn on reminders, a daily local notification is scheduled on your device. Nothing about notifications leaves your device.
The app is intended for users preparing for graduate school admissions and is not directed at children under 13.
